Overview

Workspace owners and members can create boards.

A board is a place to connect data and centralize actions across your entire IT tool stack. Boards require a primary field, which is the unique identifier and dictates additional fields within and across tools that can be joined on that board.

When creating a board all you have to do is select the primary field and we'll determine all available relationships between tools so you can drag and drop data to see across your environment.

Create boards

Any field that can be joined on a board must have a direct relationship to the primary field. For example, devices are directly related to applications (can be joined); devices are not directly related to roles (cannot be joined).

Here's a step-by-step guide to creating boards in Stitchflow:

  1. Enable connections. You can also set up role-based access controls to after connecting any tool.

  2. Go to Boards > click Create board.

  3. You have the option to create a board from scratch or from a template.

    • If you start from scratch, you'll be prompted to select a primary field from any connection you've enabled.

    • If you start from a template, you can browse through our gallery and customize any template for your use case.

  4. Once you land on your board, you can click the Fields button to understand which fields have been added.

    • The fields panel also allows you to drag-and-drop reorder and delete fields.

  5. The + button allows you to add any field within and across your connected tools.

  6. Once you've added fields, you can , , with teammates and for additional analysis.

Templates

Quickly get started using Stitchflow by selecting a template that was built just for your use case. Our collection of templates are available in the left navigation sidebar and are designed to help you manage users, licenses, devices and more. Filter by tool or use case to find a template and then modify it for your needs.

Templates that connect data across multiple tools require you to select specific data sources for fields like users (e.g. from Okta or Google) so you can define the source of truth for your board.

Boards list

Once you've created a board, it can be accessed from My boards in the left navigation sidebar. Every board in your list contains metadata that describes when it was first created, last updated, and its connections. You can also take quick actions from the ... more menu to rename, duplicate, share, export to CSV or delete your board. Shared boards can also be accessed from the sidebar and enable all quick actions besides deleting.

Boards that remain in trash for more than 30 days will be permanently deleted.
