Trigger actions
Take action across all your tools in Stitchflow.
Overview
Stitchflow enables you to run third-party actions without ever leaving the app. You can trigger actions from any tool by clicking the Connection actions button on any board, by hovering over fields on a board and opening the ... menu to view available inline actions, or by selecting multiple rows on a board to run bulk actions.
Connections menu
The Connection actions menu is available on every board in Stitchflow and provides a list of actions related to the fields added on a board. To run an action from the menu you need to:
Open Connections actions to view all actions
Select an action
Enter values required to run the action
Click Run action
After running an action, you'll receive a toast notification in the bottom right indicating progress, success or any errors found while processing data change.
Inline actions
Inline actions are a series of actions unique to a specific integration field. You can view available inline actions for fields on a board by hovering on a field and clicking the ... menu.
When clicking on an inline action, all values will be populated in the action modal. For example, if you're looking at a Slack Channels board and want to archive an inactive channel with only one member, you can view available inline actions on the Channel archived field. Clicking the Archived channels action will pre-populate values so you can easily run the action.
Bulk actions
Bulk actions allow you to quickly run actions on a set of rows. To use bulk select, click on the check box as you hover over any row on your board. When you select a row, we indicate the number of rows selected and suggest related actions for you to run at the bottom of your board. Similar to inline actions, all values are pre-populated when selecting an action.
